A, hell no!
I know I should be lady-like about it but really.... You can eat the food you love and be healthy. Really no lie. I see recipes, buy cookbooks and magazines that are filled with "normal" recipes. I am a foodie. I love food and not just the healthy kind but....all of it! I choose to be healthy. So what's the key? Conversion! Knowledge and conversion. You can take almost any recipe and make it healthy. Yes there are a few exceptions and I need to erase... those.... from.... my.... mind. You just need to know how to do it. Milk, yogurt, sour creme, whipped cream - you can make anything that has these in the recipe and not use dairy. You can drink milkshakes and eat ice cream. No really I do and they are delicious and shhhhhh, good for you! Any dish with meat in it can be made healthier by using a smaller portion and make mine antibiotic, hormone free and grass fed. Happy animals make healthy food, if you're a meat eater! Wheat flour can be deliciously replaced with almond flour, rice flour or a who host of alternatives. Plus there are tons of super yummy gluten-free baked goods. Seriously, I have tried them and so has many of my unsuspecting dinner guest. Sugar can be replaces with either raw organic sugar , honey, agave, stevia and fruit. There are tons of options. Oh and in case you don't know me.....There are chocolates that are rockin' good for your health....! So if you are really wanting to change your health in a natural and long termed way. Convert! It is delicious and sooo easy!

I don't know what I would do without my friends. My Gluten-Free Club is filled with videos from my expert business gal friends. They are generous with information, warm with feeling and filled with laughter.
I recently filmed a segment with Scarlett. She is an image consultant and a wardrobe stylist. She has a successful business and is loving every moment of it. When I asked her if she would do a video with me that would play as a lifestyle issue for my members about some simple fashion ideas she easily said yes. that's Scarlett, always ready to help you. Always with a bright smile and a exuberant personality. I am amazed and at her generosity. I grew up with guys, had jobs that mainly employed guys and most of my friends in the first 45 year of my life have been guys. Wow was I missing out. I now have some of the best friends of my life and they are all women. Smart, fun and caring business women. There is just something about the way we can all relate. We are willing to jump in and help without any ego. That alone makes me proud to be a woman. I have really dedicated my business to helping women get healthy. I address the problems that are unique to our gender and do so in a manner that is conversational and supportive. It has been an honor to know some of my clients. Go Woman Power! Pizza!
Where do I start. Oh yeah, I love pizza. I haven't been able to eat regular- bubbly, gooey, cheesy hot pizza for a while now. The cheese and the gluten in the crust just kill me. I won't get into the details but it ain't pretty! So I started to really play with gluten-free crust and dairy -free cheeses. I found a great crust made from almond flour that is really unsual but so savory and delicious it is a killer. Let me know if you want the recipe! Yesterday I made pizza out of Pamela's Gluten-Free Bread Mix. I am not sure what happened but it was sticky and goey, not in a good way. It barely rose and it was nearly impossible to spread on the pizza pan. The end product looked nice but really had a bad taste and a super dense feel. I am going to play with another one tonight that uses Namaste's prefect flour blend. The recipe that I am using strongly resembles a more traditional crust. I know my pizza crusts. I really like OrganicVille's pizza sauce (their bbq sauce is great on a BBQ chicken pizza. I have also been using daiya pepper-jack and mozzarella shreds. It is gluten-free, soy and dairy free and has a nice taste. If you have a gluten-free pizza crust pass it along. I'd love to hear from you |
